The Bolles Dance Program has been a huge part of Bolles Arts for many years. Every year the dancers have two concerts showcasing their year of work.

It all begins in Pre-Kindergarten, students have the option of being a part of the Children’s Piece. This special piece highlights the rising dancers in grades Pre-K to 5th, and their high school mentors.

On the night of the performance dancers collect money at the beginning for the cause of choice, this year it is Sea Turtle Awareness. The Children’s piece will have a turtle theme and will mention the cause and present a check to the foundation.

Amanda Morales (‘19) is a mentor: “Working with the lower school kids is so fun! It brings back so many memories of when I was that little learning the dances”.

In middle school you begin to learn the fundamentals of dance. Plies, Releves, Degages, etc. Dancers will also perform at the middle school grandparents day and two more times in the spring.

Megan James (’18) is fairly new to the high school program and is loving every minute of it: “I caught on super fast and really enjoy coming in every day and working alongside an amazing choreographer and my closest friends!”

Once you make it to high school, you will be placed in a class based on your skill levell. The high school dance pieces are advanced and showcase the years and years of training from Ms. Angela Blackledge, the director of dance.

The year concludes with the Senior Choreography Concert, in which, all of our dances are choreographed by our talented seniors. This year our seniors are: Adair Humphreys, Melinda Abercrombie, Lucy Rodriguez, Lilly Bateh, and Garrett Bennett.

Be sure to attend the Spring Concert on April 14th and 15th and The Senior Choreography Concert on May 20th.
