Despite only having a two-day week, Bolles stayed busy with both a swarm of grandparents and an olympic gold medalist visited our campus. On Monday, we hosted a reception for Grandparent Day. After a performance by the Women’s Chorus, grandparents, grandchildren, and their families met on the lawn for food and drink and conversation. On Tuesday, alum Ryan Murphy, a three-time Olympic gold medalist, spoke with ninth and tenth graders as well as Whitehurst students. When asked innocently by a fifth grader what his favorite stroke was, Murphy responded with humor that he seems to be pretty good at the backstroke (his medal winning stroke).

Happy Thanksgiving!
