To Abandon

Figure skating was my life.
Spinning, jumping, sweating. Performing, practicing, perfecting. Falling, failing, frustrating. Leaving, heartbreaking, abandoning.
Moving, searching, restarting. Trying, sticking, struggling.
Started at nine. Fell in love.
Practiced every week. Joined the club that only had 12 members. Made life-long friends.
Ranked at the top in the club. Passed high level evaluations. Attended competitions. Won national awards.
Coach left. Abandoned. Stopped competing. Made no progress.
Went to America. Lost everything. Searched for new rinks. Found a new coach. Struggled with transportation.
Made new friends. Skated in free time. Still excited to see the ice.
The love never deceased.
