Jaden Taher
Jaden Taher brought two objects to the river campus: a book and a leaf. These objects seem insignificant; however, they have fifteen years behind them.
“I began reading when I was seven or eight.” Taher says his first literary love was Dr. Seuss. “My favorite book was ‘Green Eggs and Ham’.”
The book he brought, however was not by Seuss, but The Alchemist by Paulo Coehlo, Taher’s favorite book. “I like the moral of the book: chasing your dreams.” As a self proclaimed dreamer, Taher says it speaks to him.
The leaf dates back to the same era of Taher’s life, with the genesis of his love of nature being “picnics with [his] mother,” to whom he is still close.
