Meet some of the new 9th graders of the 2024-2025 school year and get to know how their year has been going so far!
NAME: Austin Davis
Q: What has been the hardest part of the school year so far?
A: “Definitely having to navigate through the weather. The rain’s been a pain so it’s kind of hard ducking under all of that and going to class.”
Q: What’s has been your favorite class?
A: “Honestly, I love my study hall, it helps me catch up with my class.”
NAME: Hudson Powell
Q: What do you think is the hardest part of being a freshman?
A: “English Honors.”
Q: What’s your favorite part about being a 9th grader?
A: “You’re new on campus so everything you’re experiencing is new and it’s exciting.”
NAME: Vincent Barragan
Q: How’s your school year going so far?
A: “Personally I would say it’s always been going fine. You’re trying to survive every week. And you manage. Really as a whole, it’s been really busy but on the flipside really fun.”
Q: What are you looking forward to in your freshman year?
A: “Well I run cross country and we got the state’s series coming up in November, and I’m excited for that. Hopefully, we can win the state championship.”
NAME: Claire Ezzell
Q: How would you say is your school year going so far?
A: “It’s going pretty good. I’m doing all right in all of my classes so far.”
Q: What do you think is the hardest part about being a freshman?
A: “I think being the little ones on campus. It’s kind of hard but it’s refreshing from being at middle school for 3 years.”
NAME: Julanne McCranie
Q: What do you miss most about middle school?
A: “It was so much easier. I miss some of my old teachers but I’m honestly glad I’m at this campus.”
Q: What are you not looking forward to in the school year?
A: “Midterms and the end of the year exams.”
NAME: Francesca Tapely
Q: What are you most looking forward to this year?
A: “I’m really just trying to get through freshman year as quickly as possible, and I am really excited for the end of the year.”
Q: What is your favorite place on campus?
A: “I absolutely love the river campus. It has fantastic views of the river and I can just chat with my friends peacefully.”
