The Varsity Brain Brawl team challenged a force of four teachers (Dr. Yeakel, Dr. Kmieciak, Mrs. Tyler, and Dr. Lieb) and won 55-49 at the annual Students vs. Faculty Brain Brawl. On the student team, different members of the Varsity Brain Brawl team rotated in throughout the brawl. Students and teachers crowded the library wall to wall as Mr. Dickson read out the brawl questions and Ms. Lange kept score. Answers volleyed back and forth at lightning speed between the two sides.

The teachers posed a strong challenger for the Varsity team, “Dr. Lieb is killing it” said Eskedar Gezahegn (’18), as she watched Dr. Lieb fire off answers in quick succession. The crowd watched anxiously and animatedly until the last minute of Activities. Overall, the 2016 Student vs. Faculty Brain Brawl was a huge success with many surprises, “I didn’t know that teachers knew so much about everything else” said Gezahegn (’18).
