Isabel Schimpff, Contributing Writer
Isabel Schimpff is a freshman and first-year staffer. Outside of school, she enjoys playing lacrosse, baking, and traveling via CISV programs. Her favorite subject is English because she enjoys seeing how people think and how ideas are conveyed. She hopes to use her empathy and knowledge of the student body to produce relevant and timely articles for the

Sarah Scherkenbach, Co-Editor-in-Chief
Senior Sarah Scherkenbach is Co-Editor-in-Chief of the
Bugle for a second year. A self-proclaimed Marvel enthusiast, she also takes pride in her knowledge of Broadway musicals and belongs to the Ravenclaw house in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. If she could travel back in time, she would observe the Seneca Falls convention, and she aspires to study journalism or political science in the future.

Senior Elliana Emery is a second-year staff writer and Belieber (Justin Bieber fan). She has been a fan of Bieber for 11 years and counting, which contributes to her love and knowledge of music. Elliana love for writing and English makes her a wonderful addition to the
Bugle staff this year.

Jaden Taher is a freshman and first-year writer on the
Bugle staff. An avid reader, swimmer, and musician, Jaden hopes to inspire people through his writing. He enjoys being in nature and loves being transported to another world through reading. In the future, he aspires to perform scientific work in the medical field.

Kate Youell is a freshman and first-year staffer. Other than volunteering at the Jacksonville Zoo and for the Jacksonville Jaguars, Kate enjoys learning history and stories from the past. Originally from Chicago, Kate likes to eat pretzel rods and watch Veronica Mars, and she aspires to become a Constitutional law professor in the future.

Raphael Sogueco is a junior and a first-year
Bugle staffer. When not playing video games or playing tennis, Raphael is an avid music lover who enjoys playing a variety of instruments and making his own music. In the future, he aspires to study medicine and to develop new medical technology to help others.
Sara Wasserman, Contributing Writer
Sophomore Sara Wasserman is a second-year staffer and writer. She is an active figure skater and loves to go to the rink on Saturday mornings—her favorite time to practice. When not skating, Sara enjoys watching Netflix and playing piano. Her favorite subject is science, and she aspires to become a doctor in the future.

Simran Naval is a sophomore and first-year staffer on the
Bugle staff. If she could go back in time, she would want to see the day her parents met, and she is most proud of her persistence in everything she does. She couldn't live without days spent watching
The Office with her dad, and she hopes to spotlight and provide more coverage on clubs at Bolles.
Amber Bansal, Public Relations Editor
Amber Bansal is a sophomore and this year's Public Relations editor. In addition to drawing, baking, and cooking, she loves studying Spanish for its applicability in the real world. She hopes to become a Supreme Court justice in the future and is aware (and proud) of her Starbucks obsession. Her goal for this year is to spotlight and research more local businesses.
Atticus Dickson, Contributing Writer
Senior Atticus Dickson is a third-year
Bugle staffer. As a history enthusiast, he would travel back in time to live in the Mali Empire under Mansa Musa and experience the historic art and culture. In his free time, Atticus bakes, cooks, and draws, and he feels he could not live without making and drinking tea. He strives to write more opinion pieces this year.
Cameron Gratz, Copy Editor
Cameron Gratz is a junior and the
Bugle's Copy Editor for the 2021-2022 school year. As a member of the school's speech and debate team and robotics team, he is active in many extracurriculars in school, and plays video games when not in school (though he claims he is not that good). A satire specialist, he hopes to regularize his satire column for every issue. He would like his readers to know that he is ambivalent on the topic of pineapple on pizza.
Ian Peiris, Online Editor-in-Chief
Senior Ian Peiris is the Online Editor-in-Chief for the 2021-2022 school year. In addition to managing the website, he oversees the
Bugle's digital presence and works with other editors to boost online content. Outside of school, he is an active musician, pianist, and composer, who also happens to enjoy binging the latest Netflix dramas and streaming the latest K-pop hits.
Su Ertekin-Taner, Co-Editor-in-Chief
Su Ertekin-Taner is a senior and this year's Co-Editor-in-Chief of the
Bugle. A poet, singer, and enjoyer of watching old rom-coms, she hopes to help staffers find their personal voices in their writing. In the future, she strives to write a book and aims to study journalism, political science, or English in college.
Alex Boutwell, Contributing Writer
Sophomore Alex Boutwell is a first-year staffer. Apart from playing video games like Genshin Impact, they enjoy creating digital art and hope to pursue the field as a future career. Their favorite subject is English, and they love to read, write, and draw. In
Bugle this year, their goal is to edit videos and design graphics, as well as write an article of which they are proud.
Grace Albaugh, Contributing Writer
Junior Grace Albaugh is a second-year
Bugle staffer. Apart from being a decorated volleyball player, she loves English and enjoys going to antique stores with her friends. She has an obsession with Victorian England and could not live without binging American Horror Story with her mom. In the future, she hopes to study political science at Georgetown.
