11 Classes Make 100% Participation in Reusable Bottle Initiative

Dr. Moyer and his environmental science class have worked tirelessly the past two years to encourage all students to reduce and eliminate plastic water bottle consumption. One may have noticed the installation hanging on the left tower on Bolles Hall. A collection of plastic water bottles are strung together to bring attention to the widespread harm of plastic bottle waste. The environmentally conscious alternative is to use reusable bottles instead. To promote reusable water bottle usage, the environmental science class held a contest two years in a row to find classes with 100% reusable bottle participation. Dr Moyer reflected on last year’s turnout: “When we did this last year we only had TWO classes with 100% participation.  We are incrementally raising awareness from multiple angles.” This year, eleven entire classes met the environmental club with reusable bottles in hand.
