Ian Peiris, Online Editor-in-Chief
Senior Ian Peiris is the Online Editor-in-Chief for the 2021-2022 school year. In addition to managing the website, he oversees the Bugle's digital presence and works with other editors to boost online content. Outside of school, he is an active musician, pianist, and composer, who also happens to enjoy binging the latest Netflix dramas and streaming the latest K-pop hits.
Katie Creveling, Contributing Writer
Senior Katie Creveling is a second-year contributing writer and photographer. She enjoys hanging out with her family, her two dogs, and two cats, and loves literature and writing. With her strong independence and work ethic, Katie hopes to go into political science.
Aisha Hasan, Social Media/Arts Editor
Aisha Hasan is a third-year staffer and senior on the Bugle staff and this year's Social Media and Arts editor. Proud that she makes it through junior year and a die-hard Marvel fan, Aisha spends her free time singing, baking, and watching TV. As a strong arts advocate, she hopes to grow its presence in Bugle and grow Bugle's social media platform.
Atticus Dickson, Contributing Writer
Senior Atticus Dickson is a third-year Bugle staffer. As a history enthusiast, he would travel back in time to live in the Mali Empire under Mansa Musa and experience the historic art and culture. In his free time, Atticus bakes, cooks, and draws, and he feels he could not live without making and drinking tea. He strives to write more opinion pieces this year.
Cameron Gratz, Co-Editor-In-Chief
Cameron Gratz is a senior and the Bugle's Co-Editor-In-Chief for the 2022-2023 school year. Among his many hobbies, he enjoys, playing guitar, video games, and reading. As the reigning king of satire, he hopes to grow the column for the heir and grow Bugle readership amongst students. He would like his readers to know that his favorite ice cream topping is hot fudge.
Clariss Valdivia, Contributing Writer
Senior Clariss Valdivia is a second-year contributing writer. Because of her love of art and drawing, Clariss often draws political cartoons for the Bugle. She also likes rewatching Brooklyn Nine-Nine and eating Hot Cheeto fries. In the future, Clariss would like to pursue political science or animation.
Elliana Emery, Contributing Writer
Senior Elliana Emery is a second-year staff writer and Belieber (Justin Bieber fan). She has been a fan of Bieber for 11 years and counting, which contributes to her love and knowledge of music. Elliana love for writing and English makes her a wonderful addition to the Bugle staff this year.
Grace Albaugh, Contributing Writer
Senior Grace Albaugh is a third-year Bugle staffer. An Italian citizen obsessed with Uma Thurman, she enjoys thrifting to find old technology such as cd players, cameras, and records. She has been recruited to play volleyball at Georgetown and hopes to use her sports insights to further Bugle this year. In the future, she hopes to become a civil rights lawyer.
Ian Wilkinson, Contributing Writer
Junior Ian Wilkinson is a first-year contributing writer. Other than participating in the Bolles Crew program, competing in annual piano competitions, and being an active Boy Scout, Ian enjoys music and trying new things. In the future, he would like to pursue a career in the Biomedical field.
Megan Howard, Social Media Editor
Megan Howard is a senior and the Bugle's Social Media Editor for her second year. As the co-chair of the Homecoming Committee, Megan is active in numerous school activities, and when not in school, she enjoys cooking (namely copycat Chick fil A Chicken Minis) and taking long baths. She loves history and psychology for their insights on how and why humans are the way they are and hopes to study both in college.
Riya Kar, Contributing Writer
Freshman Riya Kar is a first-year contributing writer. Besides playing tennis and baking, Riya enjoys hiking and playing the piano and guitar. Her eye for photography and design contributes to the Bugle's design and layout.
Sara Wasserman, Writing Coach/Student Life Editor/Copy Editor
Junior Sara Wasserman is a third-year staffer and this year's Writing Coach, student life, and copy editor. She enjoys rowing, science, and writing. Her love of writing has led her to her goal of "writing more op-eds, enter some writing contests, and have a great year with the new staff!" She plays with her dog and binges Stranger Things in her free time.
Sarah Scherkenbach, Co-Editor-in-Chief
Senior Sarah Scherkenbach is Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Bugle for a second year. A self-proclaimed Marvel enthusiast, she also takes pride in her knowledge of Broadway musicals and belongs to the Ravenclaw house in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. If she could travel back in time, she would observe the Seneca Falls convention, and she aspires to study journalism or political science in the future.
Su Ertekin-Taner, Co-Editor-in-Chief
Su Ertekin-Taner is a senior and this year's Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Bugle. A poet, singer, and enjoyer of watching old rom-coms, she hopes to help staffers find their personal voices in their writing. In the future, she strives to write a book and aims to study journalism, political science, or English in college.
Taylor Ford, Copy Editor
Senior Taylor Ford is this year's Copy Editor. Her interests include horseback riding (fun fact: she named her horse after Tony Stark) and photography. Her most desired superpower is the ability to read minds, and she loves English and analyzing literature.
Thomas Keaveny, Technology Editor
On the Bugle staff since freshman year, Senior Thomas Keaveny is this year's Technology Editor, the position in charge of advising and assisting staffers with software and managing The Bolles Bugle YouTube Channel. He is the president of the Big Heart Bulldogs Club, which serves to spread awareness for organ and blood donation, and has been a member of the Bolles Golf Team since 7th grade.
