Isabel Schimpff, Co-Online-Editor-In-Chief
Isabel Schimpff is a senior, fourth-year staffer, and this year’s Co-Online-Editor-In-Chief. She enjoys traveling with CISV, going to the ceramic studio, and spending time with her puppies. Her goal for this year is to help the Bugle grow and she is most proud of her interview skills. A fun fact about Isabel is that her favorite animal is the platypus.
Sarah Scherkenbach, Co-Editor-in-Chief
Senior Sarah Scherkenbach is Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Bugle for a second year. A self-proclaimed Marvel enthusiast, she also takes pride in her knowledge of Broadway musicals and belongs to the Ravenclaw house in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. If she could travel back in time, she would observe the Seneca Falls convention, and she aspires to study journalism or political science in the future.
Elliana Emery, Contributing Writer
Senior Elliana Emery is a second-year staff writer and Belieber (Justin Bieber fan). She has been a fan of Bieber for 11 years and counting, which contributes to her love and knowledge of music. Elliana love for writing and English makes her a wonderful addition to the Bugle staff this year.
Jaden Taher, Copy Editor/Academic Editor
Jaden Taher is a sophomore, second-year staffer, and Bugle's Copy Editor and academic editor. An avid reader, pianist, swimmer, and writer, Jaden hopes to create a podcast on student life. He enjoys science and hopes to study genetics in college. He is proud of his perseverance and will use it to make a fun environment in Bugle this year.
Kate Youell, Co-Online-Editor-In-Chief
Kate Youell is a senior, fourth-year staffer, and the current Co-Online-Editor-In-Chief. When she's not in school she is working backstage at different performances, volunteering for the Jacksonville Jaguars and traveling with Children's International Sumer Villages (CISV). And she is proud of how much effort she puts into each of her activities.
Raphael Sogueco, Contributing Writer
Raphael Sogueco is a junior and a first-year Bugle staffer. When not playing video games or playing tennis, Raphael is an avid music lover who enjoys playing a variety of instruments and making his own music. In the future, he aspires to study medicine and to develop new medical technology to help others.
Sara Wasserman, Writing Coach/Student Life Editor/Copy Editor
Junior Sara Wasserman is a third-year staffer and this year's Writing Coach, student life, and copy editor. She enjoys rowing, science, and writing. Her love of writing has led her to her goal of "writing more op-eds, enter some writing contests, and have a great year with the new staff!" She plays with her dog and binges Stranger Things in her free time.
Simran Naval, Design Editor/Academics Editor
Simran Naval is a junior and second-year staffer and Bugle's Design and Academics editor. If she was a flower she would be a daisy and she can't live without chocolate chip cookies. She is proud that she works well under pressure and she hopes to become a better interviewer and thinks tea is disgusting.
Amber Bansal, Co-Editor-In-Chief
Amber Bansal is a senior and this year's Co-Editor-In-Chief. Amber loves all things Bollywood and is drawn to study politics in the future and wishes to travel the world. She hopes to create a productive environment and use her four years of Bugle experience to help others especially if you bribe her with chocolate.
Atticus Dickson, Contributing Writer
Senior Atticus Dickson is a third-year Bugle staffer. As a history enthusiast, he would travel back in time to live in the Mali Empire under Mansa Musa and experience the historic art and culture. In his free time, Atticus bakes, cooks, and draws, and he feels he could not live without making and drinking tea. He strives to write more opinion pieces this year.
Cameron Gratz, Co-Editor-In-Chief
Cameron Gratz is a senior and the Bugle's Co-Editor-In-Chief for the 2022-2023 school year. Among his many hobbies, he enjoys, playing guitar, video games, and reading. As the reigning king of satire, he hopes to grow the column for the heir and grow Bugle readership amongst students. He would like his readers to know that his favorite ice cream topping is hot fudge.
Ian Peiris, Online Editor-in-Chief
Senior Ian Peiris is the Online Editor-in-Chief for the 2021-2022 school year. In addition to managing the website, he oversees the Bugle's digital presence and works with other editors to boost online content. Outside of school, he is an active musician, pianist, and composer, who also happens to enjoy binging the latest Netflix dramas and streaming the latest K-pop hits.
Su Ertekin-Taner, Co-Editor-in-Chief
Su Ertekin-Taner is a senior and this year's Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Bugle. A poet, singer, and enjoyer of watching old rom-coms, she hopes to help staffers find their personal voices in their writing. In the future, she strives to write a book and aims to study journalism, political science, or English in college.
Alex Boutwell, Contributing Writer
Sophomore Alex Boutwell is a first-year staffer. Apart from playing video games like Genshin Impact, they enjoy creating digital art and hope to pursue the field as a future career. Their favorite subject is English, and they love to read, write, and draw. In Bugle this year, their goal is to edit videos and design graphics, as well as write an article of which they are proud.
Grace Albaugh, Contributing Writer
Senior Grace Albaugh is a third-year Bugle staffer. An Italian citizen obsessed with Uma Thurman, she enjoys thrifting to find old technology such as cd players, cameras, and records. She has been recruited to play volleyball at Georgetown and hopes to use her sports insights to further Bugle this year. In the future, she hopes to become a civil rights lawyer.
Aisha Hasan, Social Media/Arts Editor
Aisha Hasan is a third-year staffer and senior on the Bugle staff and this year's Social Media and Arts editor. Proud that she makes it through junior year and a die-hard Marvel fan, Aisha spends her free time singing, baking, and watching TV. As a strong arts advocate, she hopes to grow its presence in Bugle and grow Bugle's social media platform.
