Women’s Soccer: Bolles Bulldogs vs. Duval Charter Panthers
November 23, 2015
In a “who’s who, playing what?” game, the Bolles women’s soccer team played an interesting match against the Duval Charter Panthers on Wednesday night, November 4.The girls were thrown into the game with positions that they were not used to. The coach decided to let players switch positions after a goal was made. The player who made a goal and the player who assisted were pulled and the rest of the players moved up a position.
The requirements for the game were the players could only take two dribbles and a pass, after 6 goals scored, the pass had to be with the non-dominate foot and finally, the goal had to come off of a cross, still meeting the rest of the requirements.
One of the attacking midfielders, Natalie Pearson, said the game was fun and was not much of a challenge, “I really enjoyed being able to learn other positions and the game not being as serious as the others.”
The girls were however a bit unprepared going into the field. Multiple players said they were confused about what positions they were supposed to play.
This did not affect them negatively, due to the mercy rule allowing them to win the game 8 – 0 before the final countdown.
